NZ Fashion week

So my sis Gem went up to fashion week a coupla weeks back, and the company she went with were aloud to do anything the wanted to the t-shirts they wore. So Gem gave them to me to attack.

Here is what I did:

First tee, I incorporated various fashion-world imagery to come up with this:

back (ran outta time)

other tee, real preppy

Here is pix of gem wearing them whilst doing the make up on the models at fashion week

What a pro

Hanging with the stars

There was so much good feedback about the tee designs, I was very happy indeed!

Ps. If you or your friends need makeup done for weddings, balls, music videos, photoshoots or whatever, check out my sis: http://lacqa.com/ (She's really good, and been taught by the best in NZ)

Can I borrow your notes? Oh na, don't worry they're boring.

Have you ever taken notes in your life?
Boring dull notes? Notes like these?

Or notes that are quite possibly more boring?

Well, my advice: Don't settle for boring notes!

Why not draw the faces, help you remember the people you've discussed?

Or drawn a picture that represents what you've learnt (this picture is related to the motif of the ocean in Kate Chopin's 'The Awakening')

Or faces of people you imagine discussing the topic (you can use faces of people from your class... or I've done some of the lecturer)

Or just stylize it up a bit?

Don't be a boring note-taker... student social norms are for dull people.

CAPT. GRUMBLY SHOOK

So I'm sitting in English class, learning about Treasure Is... And decided to draw a picture of a pirate! Here it goes...Introducing Captain Grumbly Shook:

Don't get in his way because he has a fiery temper and eats meat raw! He has lost many teeth from chewing on bones... Beware young bloggers!

Bordem and birds

Well I was slighty bored in class so to keep my mind active I drew this birdish thing. It's maybe a bit like Buckbeak?

FUNKY SHEWS

All I did was buy $15 white canvas shoes and drew on them with a permeant marker. Easy, fun and effective! Makes a great gift!

I did these shoes a while ago.

Egg-Art

One day I was standing in the kitchen bored and looked down at the bowl of eggs on the bench. I got the overwhelming feeling that they were blank canvases crying out to be drawn on. So I did just that.

The people in my household no longer just took the eggs for granted but actually paid attention to them in new ways. My favourite was the one I drew a cute chicken on and on the back it read "don't eat my family" also in keeping with pop culture I drew a Vampire egg, it was the last to be eaten.

You should get a sharpie and try this sometime. I guarantee people will look twice before eating eggs.
